Book Club Day UK is a nationwide celebration of the joy, connection, and community that shared reading brings.
This year, Book Club Day encourages everyone to get your books out, find your people, and celebrate how reading together strengthens communities.
It’s the perfect moment to try a book club for the first time, return after a break, or bring someone new along.

– We’re welcoming everyone — whether you’ve read the book, dipped into it, or just want to see what a book club is like.
– We’re celebrating book clubs as the original social network — a place where stories spark conversations, friendships, and connection.
We’ll be meeting on Wednesday 23rd September, 1–2pm to discuss this month’s book: Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon.
