Volunteering in Lechlade Community Library

Do you enjoy helping people, developing services and supporting our community?
We have a range of roles available and are developing more, so please check back in with us at a future date if none of the roles below appeal to you at this time.
Our current available volunteer roles include:
– Running or supporting a Rhymetime session for preschool children and their accompanying adults. This would be a weekly commitment on a day yet to be decided.

– Leading on aspects of our IT. This would include redesigning our website and helping us to improve our digital profile. This role can be undertaken in the library or you could work from home if that was more suitable.

– Serving customers (alongside other volunteers) in the library during our opening hours (usually for a 3-1/4 hour shift on a set day once a fortnight).
– Serving customers (alongside other volunteers) in the library on a more flexible basis including covering for when regular volunteers are away, we call this ad hoc volunteering.

– Being a Committee Member/ Director. Our charity is led by a small team of Directors who are responsible for all of our activities and ensure that we are working within the law and achieving our charitable goals.
– From time to time we are able to accept Duke of Edinburgh Students as volunteers.
