Lechlade Community Cinema:
On Sunday 26th July at 7.30 pm, we are screening the film, Hamnet (cert 12) in Lechlade Memorial Hall. Based on the best selling novel by Maggie O’Farrell, the story is reimagining of the love, loss, and grief of Agnes and William Shakespeare after the death of their son, exploring how this tragedy may have inspired Hamlet. Jessie Buckley won the best actress Oscar for her performance as Agnes.
Lechlade Memorial Hall has a large 5m wide screen. So enjoy films as they were intended to be seen; on a big screen with an all round sound and an inductive loop.

Mikron Theatre at The Trout Inn — Wensleydale Whey comes to Lechlade!
Lechlade is in for a treat from the wonderful Mikron Theatre Company. Their new show, Wensleydale Whey, will be performed at The Trout Inn, Faringdon Road on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at 7pm.
It’s an outdoor performance with shelter, and The Trout will have food and a bar available, making it a perfect summer evening out.

Another year on and the Fairford Steam Show team are already busy organising another fabulous event for the weekend of Saturday and Sunday August 15 and 16 and the ever-popular Steam-in-the-Square event on Friday August 14.
Fairford Cricket Club will once again be running their well-stocked and affordable bar in the Beer Tent and there’ll be live entertainment on Friday night and live music on Saturday night!
